Love Brigade will launch our much awaited "VIVA LA FUTURE" Collection for Spring 09 for our new ex•oh diffusion line come this Friday, at D'Apostrophe Showroom. Love Brigade is evolving as the economy shifts and the confident consumers' fashion sense becomes more educated and adventureous. Ex•oh fufills the economy's desire for affordable looks with a quicker concept-to-production turnaround. We understand the need to create collections that live on the edge of modern trends. The ex•oh collection can be owned at bridge price points that are budget friendly.

FASHION WEEK NYC PRESENTATION
Love Brigade will be kicking off NYC Fashion Week with something never seen before. Models will not walk down a runway. There will not be a big white box with a 15-minute "get there or miss it" show. Instead, there will be 6 huge platforms, all each with their own installation of models dripped in Spring 09's VIVA LA FUTURE Collection, arousing the sensory systems of all onlookers, atop some of the most high-end contemporary European furniture seen in New York. RSVP soon, lists are limited.

LOVE BRIGADE FEATURED AT NEW MUSEUM

New museum and fashion? Yes it's true, we are one of the first fortuned labels to be featured at the New Museum, after being commissioned to create the limited edition official tshirt for their current exhibit "After Nature", which is up July 17th- September 21st, 2008.
In a collaboration between a unique group of writers, artists, and film-makers world-wide to share their depictions of earthly ecological catastrophy, the exhibit touches on humanity's destruction and abandoment of nature.
Love Brigade is honored to be chosen as the official designer represented in conjunction with the exhibit. Limited edition "Through the Trees" tees from our Fall 2008 "Love, Kurt" collection are available now.

ALYSSA KEY PRESENTS AT MOCA
Jacksonville, FL's Museum of Contemporary Art welcomed Love Brigade CEO, Alyssa Key, to deliver a Pecha Kucha presentation on her life experiences which lead her to the success of Love Brigade. She covered her life transformation from life in Florida, to education in London, then pursuing the growth of LB in New York.
The key theme of her presentation was based on her personal philosophy of O.O.O. - Obstacles Offer Opportunity.

Turning Japanese? Um, we wish...but seriously,the Japanese press has been out of control over LB recently! It's insane...the Co Op was featured in this month's issue of Elle Japan, Senken Shimbun, and Nylon Japan!

FASHION INDIE WEEK
SEPT 5th, 6PM
Not to be outdone by New York Fashion Week, Fashion Indie will be eschewing the traditional fifty-foot runway by hosting a fashion show where models will be strutting across the Brooklyn Bridge. The show is set to be held Tuesday, September 2nd at 6pm and will kick-off Fashion Indie Week Brooklyn.
We'll be right there on the runway with a sneek peek at our Spring 09 Collection.

Keep your eyes and ears open. The Co Op may be closed, but the Love Brigade is stronger than ever. Our 230 Grand St location in Williamsburg, Brooklyn is being transformed and will reopen in October! We will not only be carrying our own line, Love Brigade, but we will also be carrying ex•oh (our new diffusion line), Contorsion, Mad Marietta, and a few other close friends. |
